What is environmental community health education?

Environmental community health education is aimed at promoting health and providing information and training to a community about hazardous substances that may exist in their community, and exposure and health issues related to those chemicals. Community health education may take place through the distribution of fact sheets, through personal interviews, small groups, and public meetings. Through community health education communities become more aware about preventing or mitigating health effects from exposures to hazardous substances in the their community.
