Community Vulnerability to Climate Change: Maps and Results

Below are the final results for the CEHTP's screening tool for community vulnerability to climate change.  Overall, higher climate change vulnerabilities were seen in urbanized areas.  Racial disparities were clear, with African Americans and Latinos exposed to greater climate change risks than Whites.  In addition, lower income households are subjected to greater climate change risks than wealthier households.  The assessment was piloted for Los Angeles and Fresno counties.  The vulnerability maps and results of demographic analyses are provided below.
