Cancer: Where to Find Data

CEHTP provides data and information on a select group of cancers that were identified as potentially being related to environmental exposures.  Our data query tool allows you to create your own tables, charts, and maps using data on newly diagnosed cancer cases.

The California Cancer Registry (CCR) is the entity in the California state government responsible for monitoring and reporting rates of cancer for California.  CCR produces publications annually describing trends in cancer incidence and mortality for California.  CCR’s most recent publications include:

CCR also has an on-line query system to access cancer incidence counts and rates for adult cancers.

Researchers interested in accessing cancer data for research must seek approval from the Committee for the Protection of Human Subjects.  For more information, see the CCR website.
