Heart Attack: Where to Find Data

Currently, a comprehensive heart disease surveillance system does not exist in California, nor nationwide.  The California Environmental Health Tracking Program (CEHTP) provides data and information related to hospitalizations due to heart attacks in our heart attack data query system.

The program responsible for reporting heart disease statistics in California is CDPH’s Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Program (CHDSPP). CHDSPP has put together a cardiovascular disease (CVD) burden report, capturing trends in CVD prevalence, morbidity, and mortality for California.
