A Case-Control Study of Malignant Melanoma Among Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory Employees

In April 1980, the California Department of Health Services released the results of a study that established that, for the period 1972-1977, employees of the Lawrence Livermore National laboratory  had experienced a rate of malignant melanoma that was three to four times higher than that which would be expected under normal circumstances. This report details a follow-up investigation designed to search for the reason or reasons for that previously established excess.
