Maura Mack, PHD, MPH

MAURA D. MACK is Chief of the Community Participation and Education Section, overseeing development, implementation, and evaluation of Branch community participation, outreach, education, and training programs. She received her MPH degree in nutrition from the University of California at Berkeley. Maura earned an interdisciplinary PhD degree in public health nutrition, agriculture, and agricultural economics from the University of Arizona. Prior to joining EHIB, she served as Chief of the Bureau of Environmental Health and Safety in the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. Previous to Idaho, Maura worked with the Arizona Department of Health Services as coordinator and health educator for a federally funded environmental health education project that she implemented in communities located along the Arizona-Mexico border. In addition to her work with state health departments, Maura has 10 years of experience with the US Agency for International Development (USAID) developing and managing international health and nutrition projects in Latin America, Asia, and Africa.
