Sandra McNeel, DVM

 

Sandy McNeel received her DVM from the University of California, Davis, where she also completed post-graduate training and board certification in veterinary radiology.  She attended UCLA for epidemiology training.   Since joining the California Department of Health Services she has investigated community exposures and health effects from large unintentional industrial chemical releases, mercury and arsenic in residential environments and biological agents associated with municipal green waste composting.  Her current areas of interest are exposure assessment and health effects associated with exposure to indoor dampness and biological organisms such as molds, bacteria, toxins and other chemicals of microbial origin.
