Wilcosky and Chambless (J Chron Dis 1985; 38:849) discussed using regression techniques to produce both stratum-specific and "directly" adjusted rates and ratio measures.  The purpose of this note is to describe some other useful epidemiologic measures that can also be estimate from regression analysis, and describe how these estimates can be derived using commonly available computer programs.
