The objective of this investigation was to evaluate a number of personal, socioeconomic, behavioral, cultural, health care, and environmental factors in explaining differences in birth outcomes between Mexico-born Mexican-Americans, U.S.-born Mexican-Americans, and U.S.-born non-Hispanic Whites.
