Dioxins in California

Since 1987, the California Department of Health Services has been investigating dioxin contamination in California. Initially, investigations began with studies of backyard chicken egg contamination.  More recently, EHIB developed a report for health officials that covers the scientific information on dioxins, sources and levels in California, and ways to reduce  risk.  A two page fact sheet for the public is also available.
